Can private customers hire a vehicle?
No. Vehicle hire is for business use only. If you are a sole trader, ask the hire desk whether your business is eligible. Storage and container enquiries are open to everyone.
Is insurance included?
No. Tilly Hire does not provide motor insurance. You must arrange suitable cover for the specific hired vehicle under your own business or fleet policy.
Do you offer self-drive hire?
Yes, subject to the normal business, driver and insurance requirements. Self-drive means you supply the driver. It does not mean insurance is included.
Can I hire for one day, or over a weekend?
Daily hire is available subject to availability and agreed terms. Weekend hire runs from Friday to Monday, and single-day Saturday or Sunday hire is not available. Times and charges are confirmed by the hire desk.
Can I hire for several months, and is it cheaper?
Yes. Ask about contract hire rates for three, six or twelve months and longer. Lower rates may be available for agreed longer commitments, depending on the vehicle and the commitment.
Which licence do I need?
Check the correct licence entitlement for the actual vehicle and your business use before you hire. The hire desk can talk through the vehicle you are considering.
